"Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and backbiter,

Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever!" (Quran 104:1-3).
The media is not our enemy. Many Americans know little about Islam.
We need to dispel common misconceptions about Islam.
Common misconceptions about Muslims:
- Muslims are violent, terrorists, and extremists.
- Islam oppresses women. They have no rights.
- Muslims worship a different God. They worship Muhammad.
- Islam was spread by the sword and hates other religions.
- All Muslims are Arabs. All Muslims live in the Middle East.
- Muslims are barbaric and backward.
- Muslims don't believe in Jesus or Virgin Mary.
